Balance

8 Sep

We are on our way to the fall Equinox on Sept. 23, where day and night are of equal duration.   It is the beginning of Libra – the Scales – in the zodiac. It is a call from the cosmos for balance in our life.  I think with everything happening in the world, a good dose of balance would go a long way.  Let’s rein in pessimism and and let loose with some good old-fashioned fun.  Pop popcorn, play volleyball, go to fleamarkets, make taffy apples.  I know what you’re you’re thinking.  That’s sounds lame.  Well, ok, then do something more exciting. Go skydiving, go clubbing and come home at 6:00am, do some kayaking.  But do something to get the joy factor going.  We manifest  from a place of high vibration.  Fear and despair are low vibrational states.  So get the show on the road and start having some fun.

I sing at the top of my lungs in the shower and the car. My dogs and cats look at me like, are you sad, are you mad or does your stomach hurt?  They don’t share my passion for music.  But so what?  Sometimes, when really frustrating things are happening, I just have to laugh at the absurdity of it.  That’s a way to shift out of the situation and into a higher state of consciousness.  When something is really annoying you, think of a really absurd aspect of it and shift it into something else.  Take a moment and breathe.  You’ll be surprised at how quickly it dissipates and you return to center.

Aluna Joy, who leads trips to sacred places around the planet, created the Solar Wave a few years ago.  She encourages people to meditate during the equinoxes and solstices that occur throughout the year.  It is a global meditation that happens for 24 hours around the planet.  Huge amounts of energy are created to merge with the intrinsic vibration of the event.  So, get yourself in a good mood, have some fun and raise your vibration so you can pump up the volume on Sept. 22/23.  Let’s make this planet rock!
